From colossal creature simulations to photorealistic environments, our team pushed the boundaries of VFX artistry to balance Nordic mythology with cinematic spectacle. The challenge was not just to make the Troll believable — but to make it unforgettable.
Working hand-in-hand with the filmmakers, we crafted sequences where scale, texture, and emotion collide. Every detail, from the Troll’s skin to the way light interacted with dust and debris, stunning landscapes and the detruction of Norwaysall worked together to bring the audience into this exciting adventure.
The result? Troll became one of Netflix’s most-watched non-English films of all time — and a landmark project for Gimpville, showcasing our ability to deliver world-class visual effects for stories with global reach.
